It took time, but I've come around

All I can say is sorry now

Lost in this world, feeling alone

Had some work to do, sins to atone


My spirit adrift without a home

Making mistakes, moving alone

I'm coming home, no longer to roam

Surrounded by those unknown


Going through life without a place

Finding the love that I need

Been gone much too long, I concede

So home is waiting for me


Passion once cruel, now divine

I came back to you in my own time

You altered my worldview, refined

Growing in faith, mission aligned


Knowing this is where I belong

Something within me said it's time

So I am coming home, no longer to pine

My salvation awaits, no longer to roam


He has forgiven all my mistakes

I'm coming home, no longer alone

I go to where he resides

I've arrived, and my soul thrives


The chills I feel bring me to life

United through words, I feel his light

Telling the old me "no more"

Time to go on to the place made for me


All I can say is thank you for grace

Salvation fits well on me

I'm coming home, where I belong

My heart sings a redemption song

I chose you It's been a minute since I had a boo so I talked to you  But I had my guard up thinking something was off  Since they always said you're the likable guy But my mind just couldn’t comprehend it, so to me, it was a lie Just sitting and waiting for the other shoe to drop, always on edge Didn't you hear the respectful guys marry off quick or at least are everybody’s first pick, they are at the top of everyone’s list So society has helped me create a jaded lens which is how I see all men it's a sad statement but very true I know I can only trust a few Life, trials, and time have all but worked against you So I pick my fights and take my space manufacturing moments for you to stay away But you were persistent and fought through it all You said your instinct drew you to me Initially, I thought stalker please stay away from me But quickly realized what I would lose  I saw the good dude you had in you So I empowered you,  since that day I learned so much But I found

Upward is where I look for direction in lost moment upward is were relay and place my expectations Heavenward I cast my prayers Replenishing my faith in a well so deep Upward is the place I envision where serenity lays and I share much grace For this upward place I prepare to go someday Not rushing just setting the goal A worthwhile life is all I seek  For upward bound is the place I hope to be.
