Poetry challenge - day 1

On day one of my poetry challenge, the subject matter is words. The poem is highlighting the significance of words in our society. Most don't realize words are the reason we go to war, why we fight, why some become addicted to different substances, how we heal, and for some why they kill.  We need to understand the words can be our weapon or a shield against this world. Then we should use words to build each other up. In order to protect each other or they can tear people down and victimize each other. Sometimes they used a method of hate to segregate us from each other. But I also think that in our politically correct society. We have to watch out because they're also trying to use our words against us, to where you know people are losing their jobs being threatened, being victimized because of the words they choose to use, or statements people are making. It's important to understand that your words have consequences both negative consequences and positive consequences depending on how you use them. When I made that statement in the poem, that's more so what I meant.

I think it's important to understand why I said words are my superpower; I think words have so much power if you really think about war commands; they are just words. They are given to attack commands so they wage wars. That makes a difference in people's lives. Now personally, I say they are my superpower because I understand how words can transform people's lives from protests about prison reform and how to get that dialogue started. And changed the course of people's lives by creating legislation in different legal groups to protect against prisoner rights. If you look at the power they have to heal or to restore, many people go to church for guidance.   Or to seek understanding and purpose, helping you occasionally to get to your why. For some words energizes them, galvanized them to do better.

Also, if you look at the power of affirmation in how people chant and come up with affirmations that they regularly use them to get their mind to a certain framework and to empower them.  For affirmation, there are affirmations for everything from self-confidence to driving to anything mental and there has been proven significance in that so that's was their words are like a superpower especially my superpower because they were anybody has the power to use the words to make change not only in their personal life but in the lives of the surrounding people their community their society there is a particular group or the world also when you look at words you think about music and how people use there are music therapy and things like that where wires are used to empower people in that ways mean for me I'm using wires as my form of therapy in and empowering me to be greater and inspire myself and those around me but there are so many ways that words can be used.

This form highlights the significance of communication verbal communication is important it affects people's relationships it makes and sometimes breaks relationships so I just wanted to have this poem emphasized the significance in words because they say the little adage of sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never use that is incorrect words break people mentally all the time they drive people to drink their drive people to do harmful things that harm themselves that drive people to dire situations so that it's absolutely wrong that words never words can never hurt you that is something that can damage people. There are people there so many people to have gotten into little minor arguments and ends up losing their life over an argument that ended up losing their life over a disagreement that ended up ruining relationships for the rest of their lives people died not talking to people because of words so it absolutely can hurt you it absolutely can make a difference and change your life it absolutely can have harmful effects.

Is also important to understand our words create our history if you look at ancient times we know about their civilizations because of the communications that they left for some groups their history was passed down orally. And if you think about it at people's funeral people comment on there that person's impact on others' lives and that's how you live on through people in the people's lives that you touch whether it sure family your friends or whoever how you live on in our society is based on the people around that you interact with one that's just my opinion.

I think it's important to understand that words meaning changes if you look at things like the urban dictionary and you think you look at words like bootylicious and bling reflect things that at one time did not exist as defined now. These are words that were created like words are always continuously being created based on our society's needs or say so. Or it gave words' new meanings, like at one time bad means that you doing something good or that there is a difference between being that fat versus Phat,  so mean words sometimes have the double entendre. It is important to understand that as well, which is something I highlighted in my poem.
